FSN: Saber's Departure

“So this is the end…”

Wind blew on her golden hair, glimmering in Shirou’s eyes. He knew that now is probably his last chance to adore her beauty. He sighed, “Yes, this is.”

Saber stood still, her back faced his gaze. She threw a breath as her thin crimson lips spread open, carry on her words.” I am became your sword, defeated your enemies, and protected you.
I am glad I was able to fulfill this pledge”.

Shirou took a deep swallow before he can manage to speak. His eyes fixed on her figure, as if he would try to grasp and embrace her for the last time. But he had an oath to honor her code of chivalry, and that means their place as a Master and Servant must rest upon any other.

Then he replied bleakly, “Yes, you did well”.

She heard and knew how hard this moment was for him. Tried firmly to hold her tears, she continued. “One last thing that I must tell you…”

She turned her shape backward, her face now bound for Shirou’s. Her eyes appeared heartbreaking, but her lips drew the loveliest smile Shirou has ever seen. He raised his face and smile back.

“Shirou, I love you”.
